About us
General Information
Thailand Fire Danger Rating System (TFDRS) is a web application that provides the fire fuel condition in Thailand and Lao PDR. It displays new thresholds calibrated by Natasha Jurko, Forest Fire Physical Scientist – Great Lakes Forestry Center, Natural Resources Canada – Government of Canada, Professor Mike Wotton - University of Toronto and their colleagues. The application is intended to help authorities and the public to manage, monitor, and respond to forest fires in Thailand.

The original Canadian Fire Danger Rating System (CFDRS) code is from the https://github.com/nrcan-cfs-fire/cffdrs-ng/blob/main/LICENSE.txt and further developed by Marko Niinimaki (CSII) and Jittisak Yodkhum (RFD). The weather forecast input is from the Hydro-Informatics Institute (HII) https://tiservice.hii.or.th/wrf-roms/netcdf/.
